The Legend of the Durian Fruit
"Once upon a time there was a king who longed for the love of a maiden. He went to a wise, old hermit, who brought a radiant fruit to the king to help him win his lady’s love. The king had never seen such a fruit. It was beautiful and smelled like a gift from heaven. The hermit told him that the fruit was more powerful than any other food the king could eat, and more delicious.
"The king took a bite. What the hermit said was true. The fruit was the most delightful thing he had ever tasted. What's more, the king felt power coming into his body from the fruit.
"He gave a grand banquet where the lady tasted the fruit and immediately fell in love with the king.
"The king knew that people would benefit from its glorious magic."
